Nestled within the Tuamotu Archipelago, our pearl farm first came to life in 1987 on the pristine Manihi atoll. We began our journey in certified pearl farming with the cultivation of the Pinctada Margaritifera, the only oyster in the world capable of secreting the deep, natural pigments that are so highly coveted. The birth of each pearl is the result of years of patient and meticulous cultivation. Our pearl farmers provide dedicated care to the oysters every single day. Within the lagoon, the oyster beds are cleaned in systematic rotations ; this meticulous maintenance prevents the damage caused by biofouling, such as crustaceans attaching to the shells, predators attempting to feed on them, or invasive algae hindering their development. To create a single 8mm Tahitian pearl, a minimum of five years is required : three years for the oyster to reach full maturity, followed by an additional two years to cultivate a nacre layer of exceptional quality.
