Welcome to the world of PAI MOANA PEARLS and MOANA PEARLS, a family odyssey rooted in the lagoons of French Polynesia, where mother-of-pearl and the ocean weave a story of shared heritage.
1987 : Putting Down Roots in Manihi
It all began in 1987. Peter Ringland, captivated by the marine treasures of our archipelago, ventured into pearl farming. We established our pearl farm on the Manihi atoll, the historic cradle of the cultured pearl. Those formative years, lived in harmony with the rhythm of the lagoon, allowed us to master every secret of the oyster, ensuring impeccable quality from the very beginning.
1995 : The Genesis of PAI MOANA PEARLS
In 1995, the vision became clear: to elevate and bring to market the pearls harvested from our own farm in Manihi. More than a mere business, this was a life project. Peter assembled a “dream team” consisting of his own children. Together, they mastered the intricacies of the trade, establishing PAI MOANA PEARLS as a benchmark of family craftsmanship.
As time passed, horizons expanded. While his siblings pursued new challenges, Marama chose to remain devoted to the lagoon. Armed with his father’s teachings, he assumed management of the historic boutique, rigorously upholding the Maison’s standards of excellence.

2017 : The Inauguration of MOANA PEARLS
After years of experience by Peter’s side, enriched by his heritage and his vision for fine jewelry, Marama decided to embark on a new chapter. In 2017, he founded his own entity. To honor his roots and the sea that had given him so much, he naturally named it MOANA PEARLS.
Two Names, One Standard of Excellence
Today, PAI MOANA PEARLS and MOANA PEARLS coexist as two sides of the same coin:
